Iris Severine
Thea Wang
There is something wonderfully unique in thea wang’s solar system. Her debut album «While He Is Still Asleep” was released on MADE records and received great critics from international press. Meanwhile she was the opener for AURORA’ in her Europe tour, and the support act of the first leg of her world tour last year, and Mexico City this year in front of 13 000 people. With her music, the norwegian invites us into a mesmerizing universe of tranquillity, containing short stories about love, sorrow, longing and loneliness.
«If girl in red and AURORA got a love child it would be thea».
You can hear Joni Mitchell’s heart beat in her writing, and Regina Spektors tender humour in her vulnerable lyrics, and Charlotte Cardin in her voice.
Bellefolie
Bellefolie is a rising alt-pop act from Norway, known for raw emotion, French flair, and explosive live shows. With only three singles out, they’ve already made waves on Norwegian and international radio, performed in Paris, and earned praise from UK tastemakers.
“Bellefolie” means beautiful madness – and that’s exactly what they bring to the stage.
Bellefolie will be joined on stage in Southwark Park by a very special guest: Carmel Comiskey. She recorded cello for several of Bellefolie’s songs at Abbey Road Studios and now works as a producer at Platoon Studio in London. After the park concert, Bellefolie will also perform at the legendary Dublin Castle in Camden at 7 PM the same evening.
amilost
amilost are a Norwegian/Scottish alt-pop duo born in London.
After launching with their debut ‘Pillowside’ in 2023, released on Norwegian indie MADE Records, the band received a warm reception in the Nordics with mainstream radio playlisting, press and Spotify editorials. This led to an invite to perform at Norway’s biggest industry showcase festival, by:Larm in 2024.
UK shows coincided with supports for Tom Speight at Islington Assembly Hall and Murdo Mitchell at Omeara, London. The band were also invited to perform a live session for BBC Introducing.
Moving into 2024 the band signed to Stockholm-based tastemaker label, Icons Creating Evil Art. Their debut single ‘Bloom’ dropped in May ’24, showcasing the band’s new sonic direction, receiving strong write ups from Earmilk and Metal Magazine alongside a BBC Introducing ‘Track of the Week’.
Their latter offerings, ‘Tiny War’ & ‘Haunted’ dropped late 2024 alongside a Eurosonic Festival ’25 announcement. Tiny War was adopted by TikTok fans and viewed over 20 million times. Their following collab single ‘Afterthought’ featuring Nick Wilson dropped March 12th.
Though amilost’s songs come from a personal place, they seem to capture something more universal in the human psyche. Pain and loneliness may be the starting point but intense and often ecstatic music is the outcome.
Their sophomore EP ‘Chapters of a Heartbreak’ releases May 7th!
Simon Brix
Singer/songwriter, but not in the normal boring kind of way!
Simon has always written songs, been in different bands, and toured with other artists, but recently has been focusing on his solo career. This has lead him to headline his own show at the famous Viper Room in LA, performances at the Euros, and work with producers who have names like Michael Jackson and Beyoncé under their belt.
Hailing from a picturesque costal village in Norway, Simon is now a true Londoner where concrete, street art, and high-rises makes up a new scenic landscape which fuel his creativity. Equipped with an angelic voice, his songs reflect on the different aspects of being human. He is currently working towards his debut solo single.
Regent Brass
Regent Brass is a 28-piece brass band based in Chalk Farm, North London. Founded in 1985 to cater for young brass players in Brent that had left the youth set-up, the band has since risen to the upper levels of the brass band scene, currently under Musical Director Alan Duguid, and performing regular concerts of innovative, exciting modern brass band repertoire. The organisation also incorporates Regent Community Brass which was formed in 2012 to provide an outlet for local musicians, both young and old, to get involved with playing with a brass band.
Olavskoret
Olavskoret, the Choir of the Norwegian Church in London, was established in 2012 to enhance the regular worship at the church. Around 16 regular members meet two or three times a month to rehearse a repertoire of SATB anthems, carols and national songs depending on the season.
Over the years, the choir has attracted keen amateur, professional and semi-professional singers who are either Norwegian or have a strong interest in Norway. Olavskoret aims to sing for one service a month at the Norwegian Church and has also performed in Westminster Abbey, St Martin-in-the-Fields Church and with Sissel Kyrkjebø for the ‘baptism’ of MS Viking Sea. The choir is delighted, once again, to be invited to sing in Southwark Park for the 17th May celebrations!
